We adapted an ice cream machine to utilize current sensing, enabling the motor to automatically stop at the ideal texture. This approach moves beyond time-based mixing to respond to real mechanical load, leveraging NXP’s S32M2 motor controller.
I designed the majority of the housing, internal assembly, LED interface, gear train, supported electronics integration, and created animation renders to explain and showcase the design’s mechanical function.
