I’m a senior studying industrial design at Carnegie Mellon University. I’m especially intrigued by how design shapes our perceptions and the roles objects play in our lives. I hope to design products that are purposeful enduring, and mindful of their environmental impact.
Egypt was my first home, and my first encounter with design. I grew up surrounded by the works of my ancestors—jewelry that never lost its color, structures that remain a wonder, and engravings that tell stories. I like to think I take after them in my curiosity, drive to solve problems, and desire to create.
